Oh my gosh...I have goodies!

I had to let my heart palpitations settle down before I posted these photos...but two weekends ago I found the motherload of vintage and antique Christmas goodies!! My favorite vendor at the local "ghetto" flea market knows I like old Christmas things and when she saw me she pulled out a full sized laundry basket FULL of old Christmas things! I almost died when I saw it! It took everything I had not to squeal in delight! I sorted through the basket and put almost everything in my bag. Many of the items were damaged due to the carelessness of the vendor (she literally piles everything into her booth...it looks like a true hoarders closet...junk hovering over your head!). It actually was good that some of the goodies were broken...that way I don't have to feel bad about taking them apart to use in my creations! I just hate taking apart something that has been preserved so perfectly for so many years only to be destroyed by me.

Here's what I got:

Silver plastic reindeer, bottle brush trees and wreaths....

An old wooden church box, plastic snowmen, plastic santas, more plastic reindeer, mercury glass picks....

Spun cotton santa picks, foil leaves, glass balls, figural light bulbs, even a little chenille bear....
Cardboard putz houses, glitter covered bell garland, ceramic Japanese santas, foil stars, wooden sleds.....
Isn't this unusual? It's a rubbry plastic pinecone bird ornament...

A bunch of great spun cotton gnomes, elves and angels....

This is a shot of everything...I literally piled everything high...they wouldn't fit on the two tables!
I'm in love!!! I can't wait to use these pieces to decorate with, use in my creations and offer for sale in my Vintage from Crystal Etsy shop!
Those Christmas goodies weren't the only treasures I found at the flea market. I found a few vintage crafts supplies, including old ribbon and ric rac, flowers stames, carrots, rosette curtain tacks, beads, rhinestones and more!

The adorable lamp was $1! The boy was missing when I first saw it. I was very disappointed. Then I found him in a box nearby that I was rummaging through! I love it when that happens! A little glue and you'll never know he and his little lady went through a trial separation. :)

I nabbed this vintage German foil egg box as soon as I saw it! It's HUGE! It's now the highlight of my table Easter centerpiece...I'll post photos of that later.

Lastly...I bought these two tables. They'll be great for the porches I'll have in my future home! ;) The old folding table was $3 and the end table was $5. They're both a little wobbly, but a little wood glue and some clamps and they'll be ready for an impromptu game of scrabble or a pretty lamp and some books!

What a great treasure hunting day!! I'll leave you with the cute photo of Magic. This is what I wake up to everyday. So cute! :)

Well I would say that you hit it good ! I'm jeqalous of some of the things you found. I love comming across large box lots of items and then they sell it to you for almost nothing just so they can unload it. The best part of buying big lots like you did is comming home and looking at everything all over again.

Amazing!! You really hit the mother load there. I can't believe those beautiful tables either, I would have definately hauled them home. Even without a car- I would have roped them to my back! (I actually have carried furniture miles on foot because we didn't have a car and I couldn't bare to leave it.)

I would have given that vendor the biggest hug when she pulled out that laundry basket...then she would have had to catch me as I fainted with joy. AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME and I am totally jealous!

Hacha-Bilacha, you hit the motherlode!

And the cool tables- love the folding one especially.

I have a few foil eggs that look identical to yours, but mine were purchased new with chocolates in them. I bought them just for the foil eggs. In fact, I just pulled them out today- to hopefully work on for a show this weekend-IF I get a chance, with all my tagging and inventory due in less than 48 hrs.!

And I have a scrumptious fluffernutter also, who's butterscotch with white mittens, a little on his chest, and a question mark tail(broken a few times in a previous life before us). He is just so adorable w/his fluffy paws, I always want to pet them, but he gets angry. (but, he's soooo naughty with furniture!!!!).

Your little one is sooooo cute!!!

Love your goodies-Have fun playing!:)

While your nests are wonderful and your found treasures exciting, what made me comment was the cat picture. Sorry, I'm a sucker for kitties, and your Magic sleeps just like my Beautiful Starry Girl. I ask her... "are you a kitty or a bunny?" as her little paws up like that remind me of how a rabbit will hop along, stop, and pull up their front feet just like that!
