Greeting Cards?

For quite a while now I've had an itch to paint and draw, but just haven't found the time. Way back in the beginning of last summer I wrote this post on some sketches I did for paintings I had planned to execute. Well...I only got as far as painting the first layer of a background. :( Painting takes time and I just didn't have any!

Another problem I always have has to do with greeting cards. I'm not a huge card sender, but I want to be! My problem has to do with being unorganized. Which leads me to another one of my New Year's resolutions. I need to make an address book and put together some stationary so I have everything organized and at the ready. As soon as some special occasion pops up, that card will be out the door in no time flat!

Soooooo, the last two evenings were spent doodling. So far I've come up with these four drawings and I'm just tickled! I bought some nice textured paper at the big art store during my venture out last week that will be perfect to print these on. I have a laser printer, so if they're delivered on a rainy day, the colors won't smudge. And soon I'll make more for other occasions!

What would you think if you got one of these in the mail?

This one is for new babies. And the owl above is for
Valentine's Day...the inside will read, "I do!"

Birthday of course. His flag says "I came for cake!" and
the inside will read, "Oh yeah, and Happy Birthday!"

And this one should be sent to all of you! Thank you so much for stopping by and taking at peek at what's going in my silly world! :) Now I'm off to go put together an address book!
