Martha Stewart Holiday Craft Show Success!

This past Saturday and Sunday was the Martha Stewart Holiday Craft Show as I mentioned in my previous post and boy was it a lot of fun! There were lots of crafters (many who were employees of Martha's) and holiday goodies galore! They even had a small aisle set up where they had the projects in this month's magazine set up so nicely. I leaned over the rope pretty far to get a good look! I'm definitely planning on making those lump coal gift boxes...how clever!

Martha came by on Friday night and stopped by my table three times. The first time she snuck up on me by asking "and what do we have here?!" She was doing her Christmas shopping and cleaned me out of my icicles and bought a fabulous needle felted chick my mom made.

Later on she came back with her film crew and one of my trees fell down right as I was talking to her! The camera man said he got it on tape. Oy! Darn that antique feather tree base...it was too small for such a tall tree. I doubt they'll put that little incident on the show... but hopefully there's enough good footage to salvage from it! :)

I also ran into the wonderful crafter I worked with before my segment was filmed last spring. She is so darling and had the most beautiful acorn necklaces that got snatched up quickly. It was so great to see several familar faces in a city I only visit only once or twice a year!

My booth was quite full in the beginning. It looked much different and much more sparse by the end! I'm so thrilled when people get smitten with my crazy characters!

That large grey cubby shelf was found at a neighbor's garage sale for $5...what a display life saver it's been!

Almost all of these little guys and gals found new homes...and they couldn't have been more happy!

The fabulous Heather came down to help me out both days and what a help she was! Thank you Heather for sharing such a fabulous show! We'll have to do it again next year! ;)

Crystal, I love what you do! I don't know if you remember me but I was at Silver Bella and bought 4 of your creations. I have the little snowflake boy and fairy girl in my art area that I look at everyday! The candle with the special box is on my mantle. I can't wait to give my girl the ornament for Christmas. I'm so happy your show was a success! Merry Christmas!

Crystal,
What a great story you have to pass down in your family--the time one of your displays fell while talking to Martha! I would be busting with pride that she stopped by 3 TIMES! You know she has the eye for the best!!
