I just took this photo of my messy messy studio. I guess I'm not shy about my clutter...it takes a while for things to find their place in a new home after all. I'm not quite sure how I did it in my former studio, it was so much smaller, but I keep attempting to unpack boxes and find that I have no proper shelving or storage space to put them. It's a strange phenomenon, but one I'll have to resolve soon.
While the studio isn't quite picture ready (as you can tell from the picture, lol), the rest of the house is even worse. We've been painting and cleaning and going on family outings and working...and our house could still be considered a hard hat zone. Not that I'm complaining. It's a thrilling experience to have all these possibilities in front of us. The living room is partially painted (thanks to my sister, Sara), but the next project I really need to tackle...building basement shelves. The entire basement is filled with boxes that were previously stored and boxes from the move. I want to decorate the bedroom, which has been painted and furniture-filled for a while now, but I can only scavenge the edges of the pile of boxes in the basement for doodads. Sigh...
Well...while the house is still getting sorted out, I am starting to work in my studio more diligently and will be planning the first patriotic update of the year and pay more attention to my poor little blog. Yippee! I haven't started working on anything just yet, but soon I'll make an announcement with the date.
Stay tuned! :)

Messy or not you sure have a great space. Oh what I would do for all that glorious light, enjoy.
Not having moved in 28 years (this weekend!), you have my sympathy over the lack of organization-but the excitement of the new home and all the memories to be made in the years to come is soooo worth it!
I especially envy you the upcoming autumn. You will be so much more settled in by then . . . you can enjoy the vivid outdoors and the serenity of your new home.
Blessings!!!!
How dreamy to have more space. Congratulation on the move, and I look forward to seeing new pics of the place!
